threads of gold
do I love you
because I see the threads of gold
woven in your words
or do I love you
because you fill the air about me,
my eternity.
do I love you
because never have I heard you speak
but my ears for your clearness
do forever seek
my sight for your face searches
to replace my dreams with the worthy
if the gold in his words you just can't see,
if the heart falls on the message and still can't breathe,
as we sit here, contemplating, as I know,
our life seems impossible to me.
